Denny's is a restaurant I've used coupons at before. This time we used the bogof entree with a purchase of 2 beverages. The food was good as usual, but the service this time was insanely terrible. There was dried pieces of cheese baked onto the hot chocolate mug, we did not get any silverware, our waiter was no where to be found after he gave us our food. We had to wave down a different waiter (who waved back and said hi very confused like an idiot) to get syrup. Then no one came back to the table after that...no check, no drink refills, nothing. When we went to pay, a good four servers looked over at us and turned away, and after like 3 minutes of standing there (and almost turning to leave), the manager gets off a seat at the counter, puts down her food, and comes and helps us. I've been to that location on Harrison in Ogden many times before and have never had an experience as bad as that. Geesh.
I've used an Arby's coupon before, but went again to use the bogof beef 'n cheddar sandwich (which I had never tried before). Well...and I'll tell ya, I did not like it. They use an onion bun, and it was way too strong. Too strong, that I could not even taste the meat and cheddar. So after a few bites, I ate it with my fingers off of the bun...and then it was much better. Also used the other coupon for a free turnover. That was tasty too.
Old Grist Mill Bread Company is a Northern Utah (Logan, Brigham, & Ogden) bakery, bread, sandwich, and soup shop. The coupon was for bogof loaf of bread, so that's the only thing I went in to get. They did have some very appetizing gigantic cookies in the display window. GIGANTIC. I did however buy a pumpkin chocolate chip bread and a cranberry walnut bread. Delicious! The employee was nice and the store looked good. I want to return for lunch someday!
