The very first coupon used from my book was to Arby's. Nothing exciting, I know. It was a buy one get one free (BOGOF) regular roast beef sandwich. The girl actually gave it back to me too, told me to use it again! I have since then, and both times the sandwiches were tasty with the air of free-ness.
Had a nice "end of semester" dinner with a friend. We went to Manuel's El Burrito with a BOGOF entree coupon. I was looking forward to get some lime ribs, but they are no longer on the menu! So I had chicken enchiladas, and my friend had the carne asada tacos. The food was delicious as always. The place was not too busy on the day we went, and the atmosphere and service was nice. Fun fact! Manny (Manuel) sold me my car (more like I went in there on a mission to get what I wanted, and he happened to be the salesman)!
Used 2 Mcdonald's coupons from the book so far. A BOGOF egg mcmuffin and a free coffee. Nothing noteworthy...Oh, other than we ate there after paragliding (tickets purchased with a coupon by mom)! So that was exciting.
We took my two younger cousins who were in town (and bored) to Classic Fun Center. They have seven coupons in the book! We used 3. BOGOF any combo, free 10 tokens, and some discount (can't remember!) on a food package. My cousins got combos where they could do everything in there unlimited ($40 value for $20), I used the tokens to play some games, and we got a pizza and soda with the other one. One thing noteworthy with Classic Fun Center, was I was in fifth or sixth grade when it was built, and that place was THE place to go! Roller blading, lazer tag, rock climbing wall, bounce houses. It looked so sad a little over a decade later. Still a fun place to go (cheap and usually empty), but I remember it in it's glory days! That just makes me sound old.
